Really well-structured course. As a systems engineer learning CMMC Level 2, I found it easy to follow and engaging.
If cybersecurity frameworks were a genre, CMMC would be the slow-burn political thrillerheavy on policy, light on popcorn. While the subject matter leans heavily toward rules, controls, and compliance jargon, the instructor does a commendable job keeping it structured and digestible. Reference materials are also provided for those who would like to dive a little deeper.
Each chapter ends with a quiz to reinforce key concepts, which helps break up the monotony and ensures you’re not just zoning out while staring at acronyms like a deer in headlights. The presentation is clear, methodical, and professionalno flashy animations or dramatic plot twists, but thats probably for the best when discussing such a vast subject.
Was it boring? A little. But thats the nature of the content, not the fault of the instructor. You dont take a CMMC course for entertainmentyou take it because you want to stay compliant and avoid awkward conversations with auditors. And in that regard, this course delivers exactly what it promises.

Although the content took just under four hours, I spent the weekend thoroughly understanding and reviewing the material. It covered CMMC 2.0 Levels 1-3 comprehensively.
Having taken training from another vendor over a year ago, this is a great course for a refresher or introduction to CMMC.
The content and resources are excellent, and the presentation is engaging. Aside from some very minor platform annoyances (that will be fixed), the experience was exceptional (5 stars). I had prior CMMC experience at a semiconductor company, but my directives were based on leadership’s (incorrect) assumptions that this class would have easily corrected.

Each segment focuses on a different aspect of the CMMC experience and all segments together give you a detailed, in depth overview of CMMC journey. GRC Academy steps you through understanding the terms, why CMMC was put in place, the laws and governing bodies involved, the roles within the CMMC ecosystem along with a detailed look into how to prepare and perform assessements and what level certifications are needed to fully comply with CMMC and the contracts your business handles.
Jacob does a fantastic job pointing you to the resources you need to continue your research as well as back up your understanding with the primary source documents governing CMMC and DFARS/FAR, among others. I would definitely recommend this for anyone starting out on their CMMC journey and for anyone already in the ecosystem as a refresher to solidify your understanding. Well done!

Completed GRC Academy’s CMMC Overview Training course last night. Overall, the course provides a great overview of what CUI is and how applicable DFARS clauses play into each other. Don’t let the advertised audience (SMBs) fool you though. Although the course is geared towards SMBs, mid and executive level professionals within large corporations who deal with DoD contracting could benefit from the course as well.
I would recommend this course for those wanting to learn more about CMMC/DFARS/NIST/CUI. Perhaps the course could also be beneficial for those studying for CCP as a review (my case [we will see]). Overall solid information is presented in this fairly short course. Great job in educating the masses on this complex subject.
Jacob Hill does an excellent job of breaking down CMMC along with NIST 800 171 for all levels. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn or get a refresher on the coming CMMC certification and what is the best path forward for their company for certification.

This is the course I wish I’d had as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) five years ago while I was working two large critical Government wide contracts with large financial institutions as they went the documentation, asset inventory, assessment, POA&M process, monitoring, and incident reporting.

The information (videos) is current, and it’s broken down to small chunks which prevents the student from losing interest. The order in which information is presented is logical and makes it easy to understand and remember.
I appreciated the end of chapter Quizes which showed me my weaknesses so I could go back and review the material.
Another amazing feature of the course that in each chapter there are links provided to the official government resources related to the discussed material.
